Park Hill Drive Water Main Replacement Updates

Nov 11, 2025

11/11/2025
Final paving and restoration for Park Hill will be done first week of December.   They will have a checklist of items, and you may notice our crews out this week and next confirming activity.

Final paving/restoration will not be completed until mid-November, but contractor will be in area tomorrow 10/31 to review trouble spots and handle necessary touchup where temporary patching has deteriorated.  Our crews will monitor progress as the contractor still will be in the area over the next 30 days or so to ensure that all items are restored to original condition.

10/28/2025
Final paving (milling/paving, paving, lawn, sidewalk and/or curb restoration depending on the circumstance) will take place over the next 2 weeks, weather permitting.

Water Service to the “Park Hill Water Main Replacement Area” was restored around 1:20 this afternoon.

Portions of Sun Hill Road, Conestoga Avenue, Pearl Avenue, Sunset Avenue, Marie Avenue, Hillcrest Drive, and West View Avenue were all expected to be impacted, but due to unexpected valve/connection conditions there were also a few customers on Park Hill Drive north of Sun Hill Road who also had their service interrupted and unfortunately, they were not notified in advance.

There are no additional service disruptions expected in this area this week.

Starting tomorrow, September 11th and continuing next week, our contractor Doli Construction will begin making service line connections for all homes and businesses along West Ferdinand Street to the newly installed water main. Crews will be working from Main Street heading west. This work will result in a brief interruption of water service to each customer as each new connection is being made.

Water service has been restored. Thank you for your patience! If you experience discolored water or air in the line this is normal. Please run cold water through the farthest tap from your meter until clear.

1:45PM
Service Interruption is expected for West View Avenue, Marie Avenue, Sunset Avenue, Hillcrest Drive, Pearl Avenue, and a portion of Park Hill Drive due to the valve work that is needed for the Park Hill Drive water main replacement. It is anticipated that service will be down for about 2 hours.

Details and updates will be posted at MAWSA.org/blog

10:15AM
Unforeseen challenges have arisen during the Park Hill Drive water line project. A service disruption has occurred leaving many without water service. It is anticipated that this outage will last a few hours. An update will be issued as details are received.

9/5/25

Service line connections started yesterday and will continue Monday 9/8 and Tuesday 9/9. There will be a day of work along Marie Avenue at some point next week to loop the water connection. Further communication to come, but this should be minimal disruption. Restoration and final paving to take place after all work is completed.

Update regarding the Park Hill Drive Water Main Replacement & Extension Project

The contractor is preparing to connect service lines to the newly installed water main.  Assuming testing is successful, the connections could begin as early as this afternoon, or at worst the beginning of next week.  The impact will be a momentary loss of water service for each home at the time when the existing service line is connected to the new main.

8/29/25

Completion and testing of the water main will take place after Labor Day; service line connections will likely be done the week of September 9th.
