W. High Street Water Main Replacement Update

Nov 11, 2025

11/11/2025
The week of November 17th, contractors will be in the area finalizing restoration and landscaping touchup in the area of W High and the private lane across from Hossler Road.  They will have a checklist of items and you may notice our crews out this week confirming activity.  Upon completion this will wrap up this end of the project.

10/30/2025
Our contractor is expected to be out tomorrow (Friday 10/31) to address some of the remaining cleanup items and lawn grading/restoration.  We will monitor progress as they still will be in the area for the next 30 days or so and ensure that all items are returned to original condition.

10/28/2025
Final paving (milling/paving, paving, lawn, sidewalk and/or curb restoration depending on the circumstance) will take place over the next 2 weeks, weather permitting.

9/19/25
The latest on the MAWSA Water Main Replacement and Extension Project looking towards the week of 9/22

  • All water main activity along W High Street has been completed and all service connections have been made except for 1 which we will coordinate with the owner
  • Bac-T samples are good along the new service line along the private lane at the end of the line across from Hossler Road.
  • Once pressure testing is completed, services will be run to the remaining two customers at the lane and there will be work to remove existing meter pit adjacent to the entry to the lane along W High Street.  There are no further service disruptions expected except for brief interruption at the home getting new service connections at the time the connection is being switched.
  • Temporary patching of rough spot called out by PennDOT
  • Final paving and repairs along road and driveways will be completed at the end of entire project

8/29/25

New water main running back the private lane across from Hossler Road will be connected, hooked up and tested. Service lines to customers along the lane will be installed in the week of September 9th.
