Final Paving Announcement
All paving will be completed by the end of the day on May 13. Over the next week or so we will be working with the contractor on resolving “punch list” items, which are mostly restoration cleanup tasks from the various project areas. The goal is to have all work completed before the end of May.
Now that the weather has finally turned for the better, we are nearing completion of the major water main replacement project from last year. There are three primary areas of focus that our contractor will be working on:
- Final Paving of South Main Street from the bridge over Chiques Creek south to the end of the work area. COMPLETED
- Mill and Paving of West Ferdinand Street from South Main Street to South Grant Street. COMPLETED
- A “punch list” of various restoration and touch-up items in each of the areas worked on last year. Many of these were items that were either not addressed, were only partially handled or some where the earlier work has deteriorated. Through the end of May.
