For unknown reasons, some of the transmitters are not sending the reading from the water meter to our metering softare. In order to limit estimated readings and bills, you may receive a call from staff to replace the transmitter.
If you have received an estimated bill, please contact our office to arrange an appointment to decrease contact time. If we do not have a phone number on file for you, a technician will be issued a work order to stop by and try to reach you in person. If you are not home at the time of the visit, we will leave a yellow door hanger stating that we are sorry that we have missed you.
For security and your safety, our technicians always utilize a company vehicle with Manheim Area Water & Sewer Authority and the logo indicated below. Additionally, our technicians are required to wear safety green or an MAWSA uniform that indicates their name and company. They are also required to carry a company identification card.
If you do not feel comfortable providing access to the water meter in your home, please contact the office to confirm that a technician has been dispatched to your home. At that time, staff can confirm the technician's presence and schedule a time that would suit you for an appointment, as well as update your contact information so that we may call ahead for any future appointment needs.
